Safety takes pride of place on all our trips. Your safety and security is our foremost concern on any activity – on the river or off – and our attention to detail in all safety matters is unsurpassed.

Ardeche Adventures are responsible for the overall safety of every member of your group while you are with us. We operate at the highest standards and confirm to European National governing bodies' code of practices, including compliance with the most recent DFES guide Health & Safety of Pupils on Educational Visits. Additionally, we follow the NGB recommended staff-to-student ratios, although our river trips regularly have more qualified staff than are called for in the guidelines.

We pride ourselves on our selection of staff as we hand pick and train our team personally. Our instructors are chosen for their maturity and professionalism, but we also insist that they be blessed with a sense of adventure and fun as well. We operate a policy of complete transparency, and all staff/instructor details are made available as part of the welcome pack.

At the start of each season, a technical expert visits our site to observe and evaluate our equipment, certifications, staff and chosen routes. All risk assessments are regularly updated.
